It should be plainly obvious why you shouldn't
procrastinate. But just in case you are still questioning why
procrastination is bad for you in the long run, here's a bullet list of
answers:
*Procrastination is fun while you're procrastinating, but once you realize you have more important things to do, then it starts to become stressful
*Procrastination may lead to heavy regrets later on
*It's almost always better to finish the work way before it's due. That way, you can have all the free time in the world after completing your tasks at hand
*Procrastinating shows that you have a weak discipline, and that you can't control yourself as well as you want to
*Realizing you're procrastinating is the worst. Show some self control!
*Procrastinating can become a habit. It can become like an
addiction. It's best to stop procrastinating, then doing your work waybefore
it's due will become your new addiction, and you'll receive the same
amount of pleasure, if not more, than procrastinating
*It's literally the same amount of work. Whether you do it now and have all the free time in the world, or do it later
and be stressed out about completing it on time, and being stressed out
about the quality of the work, is entirely up to you. But the best
choice, is obviously not to procrastinate.
*You have less time to increase quality if you procrastinate.
*The more you push a task back, the easier that'll become.
The easier it becomes, the more often you'll do it. The more often
you'll do it, that just leads to self sabotage. Self sabotage leads to
regret. Regret leads to depression. Depression leads to... So don't procrastinate!
So now that you know that procrastination is definitely a
bad habit, here are some ways to stop procrastinating once and for all
and to prevent it from ever coming back. These methods do
require effort on your part. If you can't give any effort, you might as
well give up. But I know you, you're not a loser. You're not gonna give
up this procrastination battle that's all in your head. So read the
instructions and do your absolute best to follow them. So you can get rid of procrastination once and for all!
*The easiest way not to procrastinate, is to do the task.
Whatever it is. Just zoo it. I mean really, is that three phrase
sentence copyrighted by Nike? That's BS. I have to resort to "Just ZOO
it" because Nike thinks they own the freakin' world. What
the fuck am I supposed to say? Just bazoo it? What the fuck Nike? Fuck
off with your phrase copyrighting. I'm not buying any of your products
because of that shit. First of all, it's all overpriced. And you take
away the freedoms of some hard working Indians and pay them about 5
cents per hour making shoes with material that costs less than a dollar,
and selling it for over $100.
*Anyway, back on track. If you don't have the urge to work
on the task that you need to do, force it. Force it upon yourself to do
it. The more you force yourself to do a certain task, even though you
may not like it in the beginning, the more your brain will become
accustomed to that activity, forcing you to like it more. So in the end,
the more you do something, the more addicted you'll eventually become
to doing it. That's why there are people that study or program for 20
hours a day. They can't get enough of that.
That's also why there are people that watch TV for 20 hours a
day. It was a lot easier to watch TV, because it doesn't take much
energy to do it, so you end up spending more time. But if it cost
effort, you have to push and go for it. You'll get used to it and love it eventually.
*Think about the future. Think about how much not procrastinating will give you free time to do whatever you want.
*Think about the past. Notice how you felt regret whenever you procrastinated. Don't get that same feeling again.
My best advice is probably to just bazoo it. It doesn't even
matter. Just bazoo it. Again, as stated before, the more you do an
activity, the more your brain will reprogram itself into performing that
activity well. What makes you perform better at something than when
it's doing something you want to do?
Like writing this article. You think I enjoyed writing
articles like this when I first started? Hell no! This was a huge chore
for me. But look at me now baybay. I'm writing articles like no one's
business. You think I enjoyed working out at first? Hell no! Working out
made me tired as hell. But now I just bazoo it and it's not an activity
that I hate anymore.
